1. Who we are
Choufy.com is a Chouf business directory and events guide, owned and developed by ITE (https://ite.ae) in 2025. ITE is the controller of personal data processed on the platform.
2. What we collect
Visitors: the details you type into an enquiry or order form — name, phone, email, delivery area and address, and your message or order contents. Business owners and organisers: your account email, name, phone and the business or event information you submit, including uploaded photos. We also keep basic technical logs needed to run and protect the site.
3. Why we use it
To show listings and events, to pass your enquiry or order to the business you chose, to review and approve submissions, to prevent abuse, and to improve the directory. Enquiries carry a Choufy reference code so leads can be attributed to the platform.
4. Who sees your data
Orders and enquiries are visible to the business you contacted and to the Choufy administrators. Business listing details you submit are public once approved. We do not sell personal data.
5. Processors
We use Supabase for database, authentication and file storage, and standard hosting infrastructure to serve the website. These providers process data on our instructions only.
6. Directory data from public sources
Some listings were compiled from publicly available business information (such as public map listings). If you own one of those businesses and want the record corrected, claimed or removed, contact us at hello@choufy.com and we will act on it.
7. Retention
Account and listing data is kept while your account is active. Orders and enquiries are kept for record keeping and dispute handling, then deleted when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and ask us to stop processing it. Contact us at hello@choufy.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
9. Cookies
We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your cart. No advertising trackers are used.
